What is Calcidin Plus used for? 

Calcidin Plus is used to maintain strong healthy bones, reduce risk of osteoporosis, and prevent calcium and vitamin D deficiencies.

Calcidin Plus is also used off-label as a supplement during pregnancy to reduce risk for adverse gestational (both maternal and infant/child) outcomes.

How much and how often should Calcidin Plus be taken?

The usual adult dose of Calcidin Plus is one tablet taken twice a day with food. Or as prescribed by a physician.

What are the possible side effects of Calcidin Plus?

Possible side effects of Calcidin Plus are abdominal distention, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, eructation/burping, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, high level of calcium in blood (hypercalcemia), excessive loss of calcium in urine (hypercalciuria), and kidney stone formation (nephrolithiasis).

Calcidin Plus is cholecalciferol 10 mcg (equivalent to 400 IU vitamin D) + calcium carbonate 1,500 mg (equivalent to 600 mg elemental calcium) film-coated tablet available in aluminum strip foil x 10’s in a box of 100’s.
