What is Caltradin used for? 

Caltradin is used to maintain strong healthy bones, reduce risk of osteoporosis, and prevent calcium and vitamin D deficiencies.

How much and how often should Caltradin be taken? 

Usual adult dose of Caltradin is one tablet taken twice a day with food. Or as prescribed by a physician.

What are possible side effects of Caltradin? 

Possible side effects of Caltradin are abdominal distention, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, eructation/burping, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, high level of calcium in blood (hypercalcemia), excessive loss of calcium in urine (hypercalciuria), and kidney stone formation (nephrolithiasis).

What is the available pack size of Caltradin? 

Caltradin is cholecalciferol 10 mcg (equivalent to 400 IU vitamin D) + calcium carbonate 1,500 mg (equivalent to 600 mg elemental calcium) film-coated tablet available in aluminum strip foil x 10’s in a box of 100’s.
