Moxifloxacin (MOXIDIN®)

What is Moxidin used for?

Moxidin is an eye anti-infective drop used for treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis, tarsadenitis, keratitis (including corneal ulcer), caused by susceptible strains, aseptic therapy after ophthalmic surgery.

How much and how often should Moxidin be used?

The recommended dosage is one drop to the affected eye (s), three times a day. Dose may be increased or decreased depending on the severity of symptoms.

What are the possible side effects of Moxidin?

Most frequently reported side effects include conjunctivitis, decreased visual acuity, dry eye, keratitis, ocular discomfort, hyperemia, pain and pruritus, subconjunctival hemorrhage and tearing.

What does Moxidin contain?

Moxidin is moxifloxacin (as hydrochloride) 5 mg/ml (0.5% w/v) available in LDPE bottle with HDPE cap in box of 1’s.
