What is Glipgludin used for?
Glipgludin is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients inadequately controlled on their maximal tolerated dose of metformin alone or those already being treated with the combination of sitagliptin and metformin.
How much and how often should Glipgludin be taken?
The dose of antihyperglycemic therapy with Glipgludin should be individualized on the basis of the patient’s current regimen, effectiveness, and tolerability while not exceeding the maximum recommended daily dose of 100 mg sitagliptin.
What are possible side effects of Glipgludin?
The combination of sitagliptin and metformin was generally well tolerated. The overall incidence of side effects reported in patients receiving the combination of sitagliptin and metformin was similar to that reported in patients receiving the combination of placebo and metformin.

Glipgludin is Sitagliptin Phosphate + Metformin Hydrochloride HCI 50 mg / 500 mg film-coated tablet available in blister pack of 10’s in a box of 30’s and 100 mg / 1 g extended release film-coated tablet available in blister pack of 10’s in a box of 30’s.
