What is Forherdin used for?
Forherdin is used for treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly in overweight individuals, and in children and adolescents 10 years and older. The medication may also be used by patients with Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT) when lifestyle interventions such as diet and exercise have failed.
How much and how often should Forherdin be taken?
Metformin hydrochloride (Forherdin) 500 mg is usually taken as one (1) tablet 2-3 times daily with or after meals as a starting dose. The medication should be taken daily without interruption, unless advised otherwise by the doctor. If used with insulin, the insulin dosage should be adjusted depending on the blood glucose measurements.

What are the possible side effects of Forherdin?
Forherdin can cause gastrointestinal issues like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite. Patients may also experience a metallic taste and decrease in weight.
